Stop Press! Cloud Bass Alpha has 2 films shortlisted for the Winchester Short Film Festival

The excitement is really mounting in the Cloud Bass for the finals of the Winchester Short Film Festival as Cloud Bass Alpha has been shortlisted with not 1 but 2 films in the category of Best Music Video.

The festival itself runs from the 8th to the 15th November in the Artcafe in the De Lunn Buildings on Jewry Street where all the shortlisted films will be shown on a continuous real for the duration of the festival. The final is to be held on the 15th November at the Winchester Discovery Centre with a Hollywood style red carpet event where the winners of each category will be announced as well as the best overall film.

The first of Cloud Bass Alpha's films to be shortlisted is the film made to accompany a cover of Opeth's In My Time of Need. The film tells the story of a young girls descent into madness and eventual redemption and features the gorgeous Ema Doherty of Exact Makeup Art.

The second film to be shortlisted and the one to make the final is the one made for the young Hampshire based choir Sansara of Lay a Garland by Robert Pearsall. Filmed and recorded by Cloud Bass Alpha in Winchester College Chapel it features the choir performing a quite beautiful and rare piece by one of Englands more obscure and forgotten composers.
