Daily Bark fourth edition

A new edit of a training video pawportedly recorded for the Dogs Trust as a demonstration of what a good boy Mr Bungle is reveals a shocking new twist.

The video in question was being prepared for distribution when the Daily Bark got an anonymous tip off. An anonymous source said that the video wasn't all it seemed to be and instead of showing the training of Mr Bungle it was the other way round with Mr Bungle training his owner.

A spokesmonkey for the Dogs Trust told the Daily Bark that they weren't surprised: ”…he is a smart cookie Mr Bungle and it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. He was well loved here at the Dogs Trust and we all knew he was a special little fella.

We are thrilled to see him adapting so well to his new environment and his training tips have been invaluable to the other pups here waiting for their monkey’s.

We are going to make Mr Bungle’s monkey training tips part of the adoption packs we give to all our dogs when they go to their new homes.

It should help their monkeys settle in and give the dogs some strategies to help them cope in stressful situations.”

Mr Bungle’s owner replies

Carl the owner of Mr Bungle said: “I was just trying to make a little video for all my lovely friends at the Dogs Trust. To show them how well he is doing and just how much his training is coming on. I had no idea he was actually training me. It's come as a bit of a surprise to be honest.”

When asked what he thought, having watched the re-edited video Carl said: “Who’s a good boy…sorry…oh yeah…confusing isn't it.”

Mr Bungle would only say: “Yeah, am good boy…gib treats.”

Andrea from Capel Ebenezer said: “I’ll give you a quote…get a life!”
